What A Green Idea!
Because most people tend to shy away from any conversation about death and dying, very often the deceased person’s wishes for what happens to their remains goes unknown. And for those people who were cremated, but do not have a final resting place, they often become “Shelf People.” Shelf People are those folks who often travel with us, running errands in the car or going on the family vacation. But mostly, they are in a closet, under a bed, or……sitting on a shelf. Memorial reefs are an environmentally friendly solution for your “Shelf Person.” They create new marine habitats for fish and other forms of sea life. In turn, this allows new ecosystems to develop and will benefit future generations as well as create a permanent living legacy for your loved one. The memorial reefs are placed in permitted areas of reef development and are designated as fishing and diving recreational reefs. A memorial reef is a loving gesture that guarantees the final resting place is not only beautiful, but is also a meaningful environmental tribute. |
