Environmentally Friendly Fertilizers
Lessen environmental risks! Lessen the use of products that can cause algae blooms like “red tide.” Lessen the likelihood of harming marine animals and plants and reduce the possibility of fish kills by removing dissolved oxygen from the natural waterways. A Florida-based company has developed a new generation of patented, controlled-release fertilizers. It is now possible to achieve a vibrant green lawn and lessen environmental risks by using this “all purpose” fertilizer. Unlike traditional products that need applications every 2-4 months, this product only needs to be applied every six months, typically before the rainy season begins near June 1st, and then again sometime in late November. The owner of this company was instrumental in obtaining a strong fertilizer ordinance in one of Florida's counties. States a red tide campaign coordinator, “it has been shown that the fertilizer industry does not have to be the enemy of water quality advocates but, in fact, can be a hero and a leader.” A lawn care service owner says these fertilizer products keep his customers happy. “The plants are much healthier, it helps keep fungus away, and the landscaping is green and healthy.” As you can see, being environmentally responsible AND still achieving desired results is absolutely possible! |
